We believe in forward-thinking strategies and never lose sight of the why behind our mission—to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those facing homelessness and poverty.

Our Story

Alamo Housing Project's journey began with a deeply personal encounter that sparked a profound realization. After serving 13 years in the army and returning to San Antonio periodically to visit family, Billie Joe Parrack Jr, our founder, witnessed firsthand the escalating crisis of homelessness in his hometown. However, it was a transformative encounter in December 2021 with a homeless youth named Jesse that ignited a new purpose.

Listening to Jesse's story and realizing the magnitude of the challenges faced by individuals like him, Billie was compelled to take action. Determined to address the root causes of homelessness and make a lasting impact, Billie founded Alamo Housing Project. From its humble beginnings, our organization has grown into a beacon of hope and support for those in need in the San Antonio area. Despite the challenges along the way, our commitment to serving the community remains unwavering.
